IPOZ Releases New 4” In Line Inspection Mapping Tool for Pipes >4 inches.

Integrity inspections are one of the most critical aspects of pipeline pigging and operating companies. Ensuring safety for people and the environment is of utmost concern. Determining an accurate position of a pipeline is crucial to manage potential risk. For over 15 years IPOZ Systems has provided accurate mapping tools for pipelines 6” and above, yet many 4” lines were left unmapped due to equipment unavailability in the market. To meet that demand, the IPOZ team has designed the LDS4 IMU Piglet tool, with the capability for mapping pipeline diameters down to 4“.

LDS4 IMU PIGLET TOOL

The LDS4 IMU Piglet tool is an in-line mapping solution module developed from knowledge gained with the highly successful SM2®. The tool is non- ITAR controlled and has a self-contained rechargeable battery pack that provides 96 hours of running time. With this new design, the IPOZ team intends to expand its IMU mapping hardware and data processing offerings to pigging service companies wanting to offer 4” mapping capabilities to their clients.
