IPOZ Systems launches newest integrated product offering
TriKam
Subsea AI Camera Innovative Integrated Multi-function Sensor Solution
IPOZ TriKam is an innovative subsea camera and imaging system that allows high quality analysis and real-time situational awareness of subsea environments. Combining multiple camera systems with its integrated ranging echosounder, laser scaling, depth pressure sensor, onboard illumination and advanced software provides a complete solution with multiple functions. Allowing for safer ROV operations, enhanced accuracy in data acquisition, simple installation and integration all while having minimal power consumption. The systems AI functionality reduces human error in manual data entry and redundant tasks by automatically logging specific data in operations. One of the crowning achievements of IPOZ’z new camera is the real-time disparity mapping, the TriKam’s point clouds can provide ranging and scaling of the scene in front of the operator. This also aids in navigation and situational awareness by providing direct scene depth feedback to the ROV operator that they have never before had.
High-level functions including real-time stereo photogrammetry, virtual pan, tilt and lossless zoom, color and turbidity correction and available customized AI neural networks, the TriKam has multiple applications that vary depending on the use case. With initial use being targeted for the subsea ROV market, industry players can expect similar efforts for topside and terrestrial intelligence. Within the subsea space, the TriKam offers situational awareness ranging information and can be used as an inspection aid for damage and anomaly detection, corrosion, and biofouling mapping, as well as many others.
One specific application for the TriKam’s use is empowering existing and future ROV operations. Using the TriKam, ROVs can significantly improve speed and safety of inspections of subsea infrastructure. Integrating the system to an existing ROV is a simple installation procedure and the operator will then have access to advanced situational awareness capabilities with real-time depth modeling. Its AI function allows for faster automated data collection while reducing time spent on target. The ability to identify subsea assets, harnessing optical character recognition, auto-eventing for inspection purposes and advanced situational awareness will change the way ROV operations are performed.
