The Role
Passionate about design and implementation of software – the ideal candidate should be innovative and enjoy the challenge of solving hard problems. Within this role you will be responsible for various aspects of embedded systems within IPOZ’s product lines including; designing and implementing software of embedded devices and systems; designing, developing, coding, testing and debugging system software, low power optimization and interfacing to on board peripherals.
This individual will work closely with the Managing Director and CTO as well as the Engineering teams on a wide variety of software and firmware projects. This work including existing systems and new product development and R&D.

Responsibilities
We are looking for a professional Embedded Systems Designer experienced in coding for ARM Cortex microcontrollers (or similar) in C based languages. Knowledge of PSoC devices are considered an advantage but not essential.
Design, develop, and support embedded devices and systems from requirements to production and commercial deployment
Design, develop, code, test and debug system software
Analyze and enhance efficiency, stability and scalability of system resources
Integrate and validate new product designs
Support software QA and optimize I/O performance
Optimize systems for ultra-low power usage
Provide post-production support
Interface with hardware design and development
Assess third party and open source software
Utilize FreeRTOS kernel (or similar)
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering or related subject
Proven working experience in software engineering
Experience in hands-on development and troubleshooting on embedded targets
Solid programming experience in C or C++
Proven experience in embedded systems design with preemptive, multitasking real-time operating systems
Familiarity with software configuration management tools
Excellent knowledge of OS coding techniques, IP protocols, interfaces and hardware subsystems
Familiarity with MEMS based motion sensor modules is a plus
Adequate knowledge of reading schematics and data sheets for components
Reasonable level of ability with high level PC based C language for sensor display and debugging
Adequate documentation and writing skills
