About John

Dr. John Xie joined IPOZ as a Principal Firmware Developer Engineer in 2019. He brings a strong research, software, and firmware background of over 20 years. Dr. John’s role in the IPOZ team goes beyond the implementation of firmware and software, for product integration with various modules. He conducts technical updates, develops product documentation, and performs rigorous lab tests.

Dr. John completed his Bachelor and Master’s degree in computational physics at university of Wuhan, China. He then advanced to a PhD of Computational Physics from the University of Nanjing, in 1996. In 1998 Dr. John moved to Canada to pursue a Post-Doctoral in Computational Chemistry from university of Calgary. Subsequently He worked as a postdoctoral fellow in various University, before moving to USA. In the United States, Dr. John served as a Research Specialist and Scientist, at the National Institute of Standards & Technology, in Maryland and Kansas State University. He then joined the industry in 2007 as a Principal Firmware Engineer for ARBIN Instruments and Flowserve Corporation, in Texas, USA. The IPOZ group recognizes the value that Dr. John has added into our team and we look forward to continuing to work with and learn from Dr. John on future products.
